Last weekend (and moments after arriving home from Portugal) we headed off to wildlife festival In Brighton to help V05 kick off their #discoveryourstyle festival season.
First we checked in to the Una hotel near Brighton seafront and what an amazing room we had. It was one of those rooms that was so good, you didn't actually want to leave! Inside we'd been left lots of treats and products to play around with. Hair is actually a bigger thing for Carlos and he regularly keeps his hair cut in check with a trip to see the barber every few weeks! He'd just been prior to Portugal and actually gone for a fresh new look and a lot shorter on the sides . To create his style he using a hairdryer to bring the hair back and up into the basic shape and then styles the top of it using the VO5 Matt clay which gives it a great texture on the top and moulds his thick hair into the perfect messy shape. If you would like a youtube video on the styling the new hair...please let us know!
To get the hair in perfect check it was a pit stop first to a Chicago style barber on Brighton high street called 'Cutter & Grinder'. I got a little tidy up and trim of the beard and a VO5 stylist was on hand to help me give the hair the final fix for my evening ahead.
Dinner was across the road from the hotel on Regency square and called 'The Set' where you get a set 4 course meal. The team at the restaurant were kind enough to make us up a special vegan menu option and the food was insanely tastey. The team had also created us all our own personalized styling products, place plaques and menus it was a real nice touch.
If we stay in a hotel you can be sure to find us ordering breakfast in bed! Its a little treat we always do because we are free of the kitchen (as much as we like cooking!). The sun was shining, we were feeling good and we were ready to head out to the festival. We jumped in a cab and headed over to the airfield where the festival is held. Although this was only the second year it has taken place en route you could see tonnes of eager festival goers making their was over, all embracing the festival style and vibe. There were top knots, plaits, quiffs, slick backs and flowers in the hair, everyone was looking and feeling great and ready to party on.
We started our day fairly chilled and decided to hang out for drink by the hammocks before heading further into the madness some of the artists we managed to catch through the day / night were David Rodigan, Flume, De La Soul ,Buster Rhymes, Four txt and Disclosure.
We had such a good few days partying and hanging out with some of great friends of ours such as Gwil and Tommy and we made some great new friends Joel, Billy, Van, Loz and all the VO5 team. We headed home with smiles and aching legs so you know it was a good one :)
