For me Lee goes way back, I remember that eagerly awaited shopping trip to get my first piece of Denim. To me Lee are classic and timeless so when I was asked to link up with them for the 101 collection you can imagine how excited I was.

Lee’s 101 collection is a premium selvage range made with only the best denim sourced from both Italian and Japanese mills. The 101 collection is all about the detail and fine materials and in world now filled with throw away fashion, these elements of a design and make are so key to me.

In a range that held so many heritage styles it was hard to pick my favourites but below you can see i’ve styled the Henley T-shirt in Grey marl with the Lee 101 Rider slim fit jeans.

I’ve also worn the 101 button down shirt along with again the 101 Rider slim fit jeans.

Although its hard to have a favourite i have to say i fell in love the most with the 101 storm jacket. Maybe its because my first Lee piece was a denim jacket back in the day or maybe its because Lee was the first denim jean brand to introduce a slim-fitting jacket back in 1931 so they have this nailed down but theres something about the feel and fit when i put the jacket on which makes it feel almost like its my second skin.

Of course the Lee 101 collection comes at slightly higher price point than normal but with this collection you can really see where your extra pennies go. The price different is due to the fact, as i mentioned earlier, its made with selvedge denim. A short run down for those of you who don’t know, Selvedge (aka self-edge meaning an edge that can not fray) denim means they are more tightly woven using a more heavyweight yarns, this creates a denim that can stand the every day wear of a modern denim lover and only improve with the time that they are worn.
