With my blogging and social media activity i've had so many amazing possibilities open up to me, so when TK Maxx set me the challenge of making a new possibility a reality I was excited to get stuck in. Inspired by the fantastic prices (up to 60% off the original RRP) and the get it before its gone motto, it got me thinking about doing something that I keep talking about but due to work commitments and events have just never got round to actually doing.
October is an important month in this house hold because its the month that Jenna and I met. We don't go crazy over our anniversary but we always like to do something, whether it be turning our phones off for the day and watching movies in bed or going on a nice dinner date in the evening, however, this year i'm away on the day of our anniversary. Although Jenna is very supportive of the work that i do and would never criticise me for not being around, i knew i wanted to do something special to make it up to her.
TK Maxx is like a treasure trove to me, I've always been into thrift and charity shop hunting (always up for a bargain!) so to me this is like the same but only all brand new clothing and designer labels. Jenna is usually found in the home section while im looking through the menswear. The great thing about TK Maxx is the fact you can cover all shopping possibilities under one roof and know you are getting a good deal.
Since i was shopping for something for Jenna I started in home wear, looking for inspiration on what i could do to make it up to her... She's been wanting to do the living room for a while, maybe I could buy new items to start that? Hmm i think she'd want to help pick that! Beauty product? Maybe we could go for a spa pamper day? Nope it wasn't too long ago we did that. Then as i'm browsing the cook books thinking about a potential cooking class we could take...i spot it. A French cook book. We have literally been talking for the last two years about going to Paris but have literally never found the time! Paris the city of love... could this be anymore perfect?
So inspired by the amazing deal on the cook book i set off home to book the hotel and transport for a cheeky surprise 24 hours in Paris with an extra few quid in my pocket for those all important croissants! Bon Voyage!
